Caritas Smile

Through a story we covered in Massachusetts, we made a new connection in Rhode Island. Sixcia Devine created a nonprofit organization that brings toys and smiles to some of the poorest regions of the Dominican Republic. We spent an afternoon chatting with her and a couple of her strongest supporters about the journey and the last impact it has not just on the people they serve but on the volunteers as well. Her story is compelling, she demonstrates how one person with an idea and the decision to make change can affect so many.
